As a foundation doctor with an interest in surgery, I felt she took my under her wing and really invested time into my interest to turn it into a passion in my four short months in colorectal surgery.
I looked up to her as a strong, assertive and extremely talented female surgeon and have since tried to model myself on how she came across day to day.
